Solar Eclipse Breakfast Picnic
Aug 21, 2017 8:30 am - 11:30 am
If you haven't heard already... A total solar eclipse is taking place over Oregon on August 21st!!
Expert eclipse meteorologist Jay Anderson says on his essential website eclipsophile.com that the Willamette Valley offers a very good chance of sunshine on eclipse day. Partnered with beautiful scenery and a glass of wine, there really isn't a better way to watch this rare event!
Please BYO picnic blanket or lawn chair and join us on our events lawn for an optimal viewing experience! We'll be providing catered breakfast and coffee, for those traditionalists, as well as pouring wine (it is Rosé season after alL!). Your ticket gets you a spot on the lawn, eclipse viewing glasses, breakfast, coffee, and a goodie bag to commemorate the day - a bottle of YVV red, white, or rosé and a special Oregon Eclipse Riedel glass with the date of the event on it for the first 50 ticket holders.
Totality will be at approximately 10:18am, but the lead up to the total eclipse is worth the watch! Please arrive early to snag a spot, enjoy some breakfast, and take in this rare and totally awesome event!
