Local artist, Chas Martin, will be featured in the YVV Tasting Room for the month of June. His original watercolors and prints will be on display and for sale. On Saturday, June 2nd at 1pm, Chas will deliver a talk and plein air demo for the public. At the end of the month, Sunday, June 24th, he will teach a half day watercolor workshop in the vineyard. About Chas Martin: http://www.chasmartin.com/ Chas Martin’s career spans 40 years of visual communication. After studies at Pratt Institute in New York City, he spent 10 years as an art director/creative for Boston and San Francisco ad agencies. By night, beyond the reach of clients and compromises, he began painting to keep his sanity. Experiences directing still photography and video honed his sense of perception, perspective and emotion. His work is work is still concept driven.

Tickets are available for purchase through The Lodge at Columbia Point (http://lodgeatcolumbiapoint.com/). Each guest will receive an etched Riedel glass. Bountiful food will be served, for a magical evening of food and wine, tasting the cream of the Cascadia, in a beautiful luxury hotel on the Columbia River. Pauline Garza, chef at The Lodge and a graduate of WSU’s hospitality program, will present charcuterie and hors d'oeuvres throughout the afternoon.
