Yamhill Valley Vineyards is the oldest winery in the McMinnville AVA. We grow, produce and bottle all of our own grapes right here at the vineyard. Yamhill Valley Vineyards is located on a 150 acre estate in the rolling foothills of Oregon's Coast Range Mountains, one hour southwest of Portland in the Willamette Valley. The heart of our wine making is dedicated to Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling.
Since our first vintage in 1983 our wines have consistently won top honors in tastings and judgings across the nation. Our 1983 Pinot Noir was the first place preference in the famous Wine Center in New York City. From our beginning we have been stubbornly dedicated to the pursuit of a character that is distinctively Oregon and distinctively Yamhill Valley. Our goal is to bring forth from this unusual and exciting property the finest possible expression of its intensity, charm and uniqueness.
Primarily Sedimentary clays with basalt intrusions with a complex array of Yamhill, Carlton, Chehalem, Panther Creek and Willakenzie soil types.
Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, PInot Gris, Chardonnay, and Riesling.
Beginning October 1st and lasting 3 weeks.
Cool climate; 2300 to 2500 degree days on average. 35 inches annual rainfall. Protected weather-shadow of the marine-influenced climate.

Lions and tigers and wine, oh my! Join us for Twilight Tuesdays at the Oregon Zoo where you can check out the animals after dark while enjoying some YVV wine, all for a dicounted admission (FREE if you're an Oregon Zoo member!).
Each event features animals that are active at dusk, fun activities for families, pettable animals and live entertainment. Banfield Pet Hospital veterinarians and vet techs will be on hand, presiding over a "Pet Patch-Up" station for stuffed animals that need a little TLC, and kids can show off their best dog and cat impressions in Banfield's "Howl and Meow" contest.
Food offerings, as well as local beer, wine and cider tastings and service, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, and other local food carts, make this the perfect place for dinner al fresco while enjoying the best of Portland on a summer evening.
